Deal Or No Deal…not that it matters

Filed under: TV — Tobias @ 5:42 pm
Deal Or No Deal

When will the Deal Or No Deal audience finally realise that chanting “Blue blue blue blue!” has absolutely no baring on the outcome of the show whatsoever? When will Noel Edmonds finally realise that you cannot have a “gameplan” for this show?

This show is probably the most pointless thing on TV at the moment. It is based on luck and nothing else. No skill is required and regardless of how much each contestant and Noel himself bang on about “strategies” and “different approaches to the game”, the fact is that there is absolutely nothing to it…at all. Noel…endless one-way conversations with the banker do nothing to convince me that your show is of any significance.

You pick boxes and if you’re lucky you win money. If you’re not you don’t. End of story. Get off your high horse Edmonds, and admit that your show is totally unworthy of the attention it receives.

The McCann Situation

Filed under: In The News — Tobias @ 7:21 pm
Kate McCann

As it looks like Kate McCann could soon potentially be charged with the murder or disapperance of her daughter I’d like to say that I personally reckon the Portuguese police are so bad that they have decided to try and wrap this case up by simply blaming the parents, with or without enough evidence to guarantee securing a conviction.

The very fact that they have offered Kate McCann a plea deal already shows they know themselves that they have a terrible case. Telling the mother of a missing girl that she is a suspect and encouraging her to admit to her daughter’s disappearance in return for a reduced 2 year prison sentence and the potential for an even earlier release is quite suspicious in my eyes.

We’ll see how Gerry McCann goes along following his interview, but if both parents are charged at this stage I feel that this is not a sign of their guilt but a sign of impatience and lack of competence from the Portuguese authorities in actually apprehending the real person or persons who took Madeleine.

Some police officers are not necessarily in it to find the real culprit, they are simply out to lay blame on anyone for any crime that is unsolved.

Having had plenty of encounters with the police myself I know how petty they can get and anything they can salvage or attempt to hold up in even the smallest way in court they will go all out to do.

I hope I am right in that the McCanns aren’t responsible for Madeleine’s disappearance and potential death. As always I’ll continue to watch the news coverage to draw more conclusions but at the moment that is my opinion.

Uninformed.co.uk

Filed under: Blog — Tobias @ 11:11 am

Writing for Uninformed.co.uk takes my mind off the shit things that go down in my life. The bad luck I have and always have had just keeps on going and without sounding arrogant it seems like I’m the only person who has to deal with certain things that even my friends aren’t aware of.

When I get to writing articles I lose myself in it. Because I know that at least I am doing this one thing right and acting on the things that I believe in. Nobody is more important to me than my friends and in the past I’ve been made to realise not to take them or the life I have for granted.

Despite the problems I have in my life I feel that the real purpose of my existence is to inform people of what is really happening in the world around them. Whether they take notice is their choice entirely, but it’s time that people must do so.

Life is fragile as are lifestyles and the things that people do in their lives. Whether I die tomorrow or in 70 years time is something I don’t particularly care about. But at 20 years old I feel I will be around until I do the things I was put on this Earth to do and certain wake up calls over the past 2 years have made me realise what my purpose is and that is truthful alternative journalism. It’s time to keep fulfilling my purpose in life and I believe God will keep me here until I complete that objective. :)

Queens Of The Stone Age - Era Vulgaris [REVIEW]

Queens Of The Stone Age - Era Vulgaris

You really have to play this one over again after the first time you hear it. Whenever a new QOTSA album is released you always compare it to their other offerings and get slightly apprehensive about change.

Change is good, however, and I feel that Era Vulgaris reflects that. Change is what QOTSA are all about, with different band members contributing to each new album giving them a unique touch of class each and every time they release a record.

The first time I finished playing it from start to finish I felt like I’d just eaten a meal and wasn’t completely full yet…it just didn’t seem to totally grab me at first. But the more I listen to it the more I appreciate the quality of the album.

This being QOTSA’s fifth studio album it really is an astounding achievement. From the laid back, dreamy introduction of ‘Turning On The Screw’ right through to the traditional QOTSA sounds on the final track ‘Era Vulgaris’ (one of two bonus tracks for us UK citizens :D), this album is really something to be appreciated in full.

It’s their hardest album to like. But when you begin to lose yourself in the 2007 sounds of the Queens there’s no going back.

The track that stands out most on this album for being completely different to anything I have heard from Queens Of The Stone Age is the slightly retro-sounding ‘Make It Wit Chu’. The high-pitched backing vocals really do make you wonder if Josh Homme has added Barry Gibb to his latest line-up of Stone Age monarchs but while the Bee Gees were absolutely crap Queens Of The Stone Age just keep on giving.

Thankyou Mr. Homme for blessing the alternative rock world for the fifth time.

Resistance Fall of Man Cathedral Row Blown Out of All Proportion

Filed under: Gaming — Tobias @ 2:54 am

The following message is taken from a comment I made on the London Times website regarding the row between Sony and Manchester Cathedral over the cathedral’s depiction in the PlayStation 3 game “Resistance: Fall of Man”.

Resistance: Fall of Man

Only one thing comes to mind whenever this story keeps coming up…”it’s just a game”.

Nobody should be allowed to dictate to game development companies what they can and can’t put into a game. Freedom of creativity is what makes the game industry so diverse and entertaining.

Withdrawing this game would be terrible and I completely disagree with the dean’s argument that the game “encourages people to have gun battles in a cathedral”. That is an absolutely absurd statement with no weight at all. Yes, gun crime in Manchester is a big problem. But that is a matter for the police and local communities to deal with and this game is not going to add to or escalate that problem, this is simply unfounded garbage.

A donation to the cathedral is another matter. I would say this was a reasonable request and one that Sony may well have agreed with and acted on but the simultaneous request for the complete withdrawal of the game ends all chance of the cathedral receiving this donation.

This is attempted censorship in it’s finest form. The game isn’t even based on reality!

But I can guarantee the withdrawal of Resistance: Fall of Man won’t happen. Sony will not back down to this ludicrous demand and all power to them for not doing so.

One Year On

Filed under: Blog — Tobias @ 7:19 am

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since my stepdad Phil died. He was only 52 when he died in his sleep on holiday in Mexico exactly a year ago today.

Never Forgotten.

The Birthday Weekend Begins Here!

Filed under: Blog — Tobias @ 6:40 am
Tobias Cunningham & Nathan Broadbent

Yes, it’s my birthday…I’m finally 20. I’m no longer a teenager…no longer what society refers to as “a youngen”. But my teenage years will go out with a bang tonight and indeed the whole weekend…a tribute to the 2 decades I have spent on this wonderful planet…

As you may know Nathan’s 20th year of life is followed just 24 hours after mine…so at midnight tonight he also will be 20 years old…but until that time comes I shall mock him for being a day younger than me until he gets really, really pissed off.

Heres’s my schedule for the weekend…

TONIGHT, MY BIRTHDAY! 24th May: SUBSPACE…WITH EVERYONE!!!!!…80p in, 80p drinks, 80s music…it’s funny.

25th May: Saki/Jillys

26th May: I should be going Rock Kitchen but I’m barred…I may still go out somewhere though but all you Kitch heads will be gay and go there…

27th May: Warehouse Project…Pendulum/Friction/Yoda/TC/Prophecy…this will end the weekend in the best possible way!

If I like you then be at one of these at least…or I will cry.

Well, not a very momentous blog considering I’m EXACTLY 7305 days old (yes I’ve taken count of leap years…) but oh well, I’ve been up all night…I’m tired. I may go sleep now…or stay up as usual like a bad arse and go out and get totally fucked like this.

Have a nice day, I know I will…it’s my birthday!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. You all wish it was your birthday…but it’s not…unless it is, in which case…yea, it is…

My Article Headlined on PrisonPlanet.com!

Filed under: Blog — Tobias @ 3:11 am

It is with great pride that I tell you this. An article I wrote yesterday for my own website, Uninformed.co.uk on the subject of implantable microchips for children and the tragic disappearance of young Madeleine McCann has been headlined on Alex Jones’ PrisonPlanet.com.

Tobias Cunningham's Microchip Article Headlined on Alex Jones' PrisonPlanet.com

Given that this is the first article I have actually written for Uninformed.co.uk and the fact that the site itself is a fair way off being complete I am extremely proud of myself and this can only help the site and it’s extremely important vault of information grow.

Tobias Cunningham's Microchip Article Headlined on Alex Jones' PrisonPlanet.com

I do this kind of thing not for kicks or the awe of my friends or others but because I fear the direction that our country and our world is heading in. It is of the utmost importance that you do your own research into these kinds of things and draw your own conclusions. My articles are there simply to guide you towards the truth.

That said, a more important issue here is the disappearance of young Madeleine. CLICK HERE NOW to show your support in the effort to find missing Madeleine McCann.
